University of Virginia

UVA, in Charlottesville, Virginia, was founded by Thomas Jefferson, and his original Academical Village around the Lawn is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The campus is called the Grounds, and students take pride in the honor code and strong student self-governance. Each year, 54 seniors earn the chance to live in rooms on the historic Lawn. It is a public university with strong academics, big school spirit as the Cavaliers, and a beautiful setting in the Blue Ridge foothills.
