Williams College, in Williamstown, Massachusetts, is a small liberal arts school tucked into the Berkshire Mountains. It is known for tutorials, where two students meet weekly with a professor to debate a topic, and for Winter Study, a January term that lets you try something new. The outdoors are everywhere, and so is art, with the Clark Art Institute and MASS MoCA nearby. Williams students, called Ephs, form tight bonds, making it a great fit if you want intense teaching in a close community.
